The classic plate drop mishap

Have you ever had one of those moments where you’re confidently striding through the event, and suddenly the plate just slips out of your hand? I had a fiasco last week where I dropped a full dessert tray right at the VIP table. Everyone gasped, but the look on the client’s face turned from shock to laughter when I quickly joked, ‘Well, I guess dessert is a little too on-the-go!’ It’s all about how we recover as a team, right?

, I totally get it! That kind of moment is the worst, especially with a full dessert tray. I’ve had to drop the ‘Oops, looks like a chocolate fountain got a little too excited!’ line a few times myself. Have you thought about using those non-slip trays?

, those plate drops can be mortifying! I had a similar experience at a wedding, and I learned to double-check my grip before walking through the crowd. Maybe it’s worth investing in some non-slip trays?
